After yesterday’s post I figured a healthy dose of reality would be good for the soul. (yours and mine)

Welcome to our (real) life.

Oh, thank you, Erin. I was already all sad last night thinking that (this is pathetic) I couldn’t do your 10 on Tues. b/c – not only was my house not photo-ready, but I don’t have 10 spots in my house that I love. 🙁 It’s getting there, though…slowly but surely. Thanks for the reminder that we’re all human!

Your counters look suspiciously like mine this lovely day. Well not just this day but ever day. I clean them off but for some reason they just end up looking like this again. Could be the 4 kids but hey, i think maybe someday i won’t have them to pick up after and then i am sad!

JenniferApril 22, 2009 - 2:58 pm

Thanks for that! I feel better, too 🙂

TammyApril 22, 2009 - 4:31 pm

We have fiestaware here too – I totally love it. Somehow happy dishes are easier to clean. 😉 😉

JenniferApril 22, 2009 - 8:03 pm

Oh sure, you have one bad day and then try to make us think it’s always like that! Nice try!!

kribssApril 23, 2009 - 5:44 am

why does your reality look so much prettier than mine??

heatherbauersApril 23, 2009 - 6:05 am

Omgosh…it’s been FOOOOORever since I popped in to see what you were doing. Wow. Your mess is nothing compared to mine BTW.

Since I know you love Etsy, come check me out. I’d love to paint your little family as a gift. If you want to take me up on it, just send me a convo.

Anyway, great to see you’re thriving in AL.

Thank goodness!!! I was thinking, “Sheesh, I don’t even have any kids, and I can’t keep my house even a fraction as neat as Erin’s!” Or course, you’re only showing one tiny piece of the kitchen here…does that mean that’s the only messy part of the house, because I’m starting to get depressed again.

MeganApril 23, 2009 - 3:06 pm

Are you sure your not just trying to make the rest of us feel better about our kitchens not looking like the last post? Glad to know you are human and not a robot!

HeatherApril 23, 2009 - 6:49 pm
