PIZZA! (said the lady with the alligator purse)

(channeling board books again, my apologies)

Yesterday afternoon we had some friends over for one of my favorite kiddo activities – make your own pizzas! It’s such a fun, easy activity for three year olds and is the perfect afternoon get-together since dinner is out of the way once the playdate is over. Can’t get better than that!

Macy walked up in her adorable red checkered apron and holding one for Sarah. We had a kickin’ pizza parlor on our hands in no time!

Our “recipe” is super simple: store-bought Naan bread, cut in half; jarred tomato sauce (I love Prego’s organic version); pre-shredded mozzarella cheese.

Pop it in the oven and dinner’s done!

Well, first add waaaaay more sauce than you actually need…

And pat your cheese down really well, like so…

And, of course, add a little more cheese for good measure…

Okay, NOW pop it in the oven.

Then run giggling and twirling to your bedroom to play princesses while you wait. (and don’t bother wiping the pizza sauce off your face…it just adds to the pizza parlor feel)

As a sidenote, I’m so pleased Sarah is finally learning the art of the cheek-to-cheek girlfriends pose.

It really is a life skill that will serve her well in years to come.

Now that she knows how to make pizza and execute the perfect girlfriend picture I’m pretty sure my work here is done. College here we come!

Whilst my own princess loves pizza, my princes adore it too. Do you think Pizza and Princes works as well? Just not sure…..

How fun! Gabby & I made pizza Wednesday night. Daddy wasn’t too fond of it, but G sure had a great time making it! We’ll have to do again one day when a friend comes over 🙂 This pictures are so cute!

How cute, how cute!!! You must have windows galore in your house…what are your settings on your camera? I don’t have a whole lot of lighting in my home where we normally are…any suggestions?

Is this still part of your “Rebel experiment?” Can’t wait to see your l’ab report’ on this experiment! 😉

We do this too but to make it last a little longer (mama needs a break sometimes) we have them use cooking cutters to make shapes in the pizza dough first (the little plastic ones do not cut through) and then we do the sauce and toppings! The girlie girls love it!
