disneyland, in pictures.

If a picture is worth a thousand words, I wonder what these thousand pictures will be worth?

Things I want to remember:

Charlotte’s terror at meeting any costumed character, yet her sweet, shy interest in the princesses.

Using my phone to let blog readers steer us to the Disney hotspots via the comments section of a Ten on Tuesday post. Whoever recommended the corndogs, I love you.

Sarah and Charlotte signing each other’s autograph books from Aunt Lori.

Tinkerbell’s playful surprise and rasised eyebrows when she saw the name “Cooper” in Sarah’s book and was informed he was Sarah’s boyfriend.

Having the tea cup operator take a perfect shot of the 6 of us. On auto.

Buying matching generational Disney sweatshirts, immediately taking the tags off to put them on, and thenย having my credit card (temporarily) declined for overuse.

Spending 10 hours straight at the “Happiest Place in the World” (according to my mom) with all the girls (minus my Grama) in my red thread. Love you all.

Looks like you guys had a fab time at the Happiest Place on Earth! I’ve been dying to see what you would get photo-wise because I’m always disappointed with what I come home with – I never seem to get what I see in my mind. You did a fantastic job at capturing the day through photos. Like I absolutely knew you would. ๐Ÿ™‚ So now I know that I HAVE to get a pic of the kids in that little inlet spot at the castle because the lighting is gorgeous and HOW CUTE! AND, can you believe I’ve never gotten a pic of the kids with Mickey?! How lame of me. So I pulled the kids over and showed them yours and asked if pretty please will you let me take a pic like this of you next time we go? Anyway… Sorry to ramble. I’d also like to know what lens you used in the park. That’s also a struggle for me. Your 50 or 85? I’m guessing 50. Glad you had such a great time Erin!

ShariFebruary 13, 2011 - 4:21 pm

Erin – what WONDERFUL pictures and memories that you documented here! I also would love to know what lens(es) you used? I am alawys struggling when it comes to which one(s) to bring with me on trips like this.

Again, GREAT images!!

Lisa CFebruary 13, 2011 - 8:04 pm

Love all the photos, but especially the one of Sarah looking at you proudly as Mickey signs her book. And thank you so much for posting a “before” and “after” photo showing what clean color does….I’m still waiting for osmosis to teach me clean color while it sits on my laptop! One day…..

JaimieFebruary 13, 2011 - 8:54 pm

Erin!!! I told you those were the BEST corn dogs on earth! Aren’t they just a little slice of heaven?! Looks like you guys had an AMAZING day! LOVE the shot of the six of you, and the ones of the girls together. You can tell they love each other! So glad you got to spend a day at the Happiest Place in the World! ๐Ÿ™‚ And I’m honored that you “love me” for recommending the corn dogs! Yay me!

NicoleFebruary 13, 2011 - 9:46 pm

The teacup shot is gorgeous, just like every other shot in this post!

amy emeryFebruary 13, 2011 - 10:31 pm

these are the most perfect disneyland photos ever! my husband and i were big disneyland fans pre-kids–and I look forward to the day when we can take our (now 9 and 10) son and daughter. hoping 2010 is the year! happy valentine’s day.

LeahFebruary 13, 2011 - 10:43 pm

Great pictures! And I have a question related to this. We are going to WDW later this year, and I’m wondering how best to carry my camera in the park. I of course would much rather have my DSLR with me than a small point and shoot. Did you keep yours around your neck most of the time? Or in a camera bag?

AllisonFebruary 14, 2011 - 7:04 am

My three year old daughter LOVED all you character pictures! She shouted out every single one – even the one of Tinkerbelle hiding behind the glue. She saw her before I did. Disney is so much fun, and I apparently have to go back now!

Jessica WFebruary 14, 2011 - 9:02 am

These photos are all so sweet. It really is such a special trip. This fall will be our third trip to Disney World in Orlando and we plan to do it for as long as the kids love it. It is just such a fun place!

LaraFebruary 14, 2011 - 10:09 am

JaimeFebruary 14, 2011 - 2:35 pm

Ahh, what a wonderful time and your pics are absolutely STUNNING. Oh my GAH, I need your color genius! Can’t wait to take my kids.

SharonFebruary 14, 2011 - 2:54 pm

LOVE them!! This title had two words that had me clicking on your link to come over here immediately: Disneyland + Pictures. I’m a bit Disney obsessed, and I can never tire of looking at Disneyland pictures!

What a wonderful trip! I have to say that if nothing else could ever inspire me to learn more about photography (which isn’t true since I’m becoming ALMOST equally obsessed with photography as I am with Disney), it would be to be able to go to Disneyland and capture beautiful photos like this in my favorite place on earth.

And the photos with Mickey are truly to DIE for!! I’m just swooning over here. Thank you so much for sharing! =)

JeannetteFebruary 14, 2011 - 3:18 pm

WONDERFUL!!! Looks like a load of fun filled memories! I LOVE the pictures & how you captured the excitement of the day.

KymnFebruary 14, 2011 - 5:32 pm

Where was Pixie Hollow? I was just there in December and have no idea where that place is at? Please share! Oh my that corndog looks GOOD. Fabulous pictures, I can almost hear the squeals from the girls.

KarlyFebruary 14, 2011 - 6:32 pm

What amazing memories! Makes me super excited for our trip there next week. Any tips for getting fabulous photographs without missing memories because you’re too busy fiddling with the settings?

TramFebruary 14, 2011 - 7:27 pm

Wow! Beautiful pictures, even color, even skin tone. Awesome as always. What lens did you use? Please tell? I’m wondering if you changed lenses or went with just one?

TanyaFebruary 15, 2011 - 12:24 pm

So much fun! And such great images as usual! Thank you! Disneyland is even fun lived vicariously through others it seems. *grin*

adminFebruary 15, 2011 - 12:58 pm

Tram, I stuck with my 50mm/1.2 for the day. Thanks for your kind words!
