me, the pixie

I’ve always wondered what I would look like with a pixie cut. This weekend I learned why I should never speak such thoughts aloud to my fashion-forward sister. We walked into the mall on a mission to weigh ourselves down with gap bags. I walked out of the mall with short hair to rival Brent’s. I’m not saying I don’t like it. I’m just saying that the influence she exerted over me as a child apparently hasn’t lifted yet.

So here it is. My pixie debut…

Needless to say there was a little boredom weighing in on my decision to take these photos. Sarah and I have been stuck in the house all week with various inspections and cleanings going on in our house, preparing to sell. Today was our day of freedom…WOOHOO…well, it WAS our day of freedom. But then the Pigbear started throwing up. So now it’s the day of freedom we wish we had. And instead we’re inside, snapping self portraits, yaking up oatmeal, and wishing it was spring already.

eta: I keep forgetting to tell you guys where I got the wings from Charlotte’s pics (and the banner pic)…BABY GAP, of course. On sale now for 9.99. They should totally be paying me. Oh wait… 🙂

I think the new haircut looks great. You certainly wear it well! I hope Sarah feels better soon. I wish we could put a bid on your house since we are coming there this summer after all!

Hi girl! Welcome to the world of short hair. It looks really good! Daphne

WendyMarch 1, 2007 - 1:28 pm

Erin- you would look gorgeous with any haircut I am sure. So sorry about Sarah. No fun having a sick kiddo. Keep your chin up. Spring will be here soon enough.

JenniferMarch 1, 2007 - 1:36 pm

You’d be adorable even if you ‘pulled a Britney’. What does Brent think???

wendyMarch 1, 2007 - 1:50 pm

I was so confused, thinking, wait, I didn’t comment on this! LOL — then I realized, DUH! The world does not revolve around you and there ARE other people named Wendy out there. So. Enough about me. Let’s talk about you.

TOTALLY CUTE! Great shots, too. love that we can see Sarah in the last one reaching up for you. I’m glad you held your cool, because if that had been me, I would have had a “back off, kid!” look on my face. I love having short hair! So easy! and then I love having long hair! so easy! – it’s the “in-between hair” that drives me insane. Easy to go one way, takes forever to go the other *sigh*

Where are the pics of the BOUNTY OF GAP GOODNESS?????

Very sassy ‘do! You’re fabulous with any haircut. Sorry to hear about Miss Sarah. We’ve been having such fun with our newest hobby, shopping at babyGap, and I’m certain that retail therapy would help her a lot!

Cute photos AND haircut, Erin! 😉 Oh, and you totally owe me an e-mail. You’re so slow! LOL! 😉

ShelleyMarch 1, 2007 - 3:31 pm

I love the one with smoochy Sarah, so cute. Your hair looks great, it’s fun to try something different and hair always grows back if you don’t like it.

LyndsayMarch 1, 2007 - 4:07 pm

I love it! I wish I could get away with short hair and I wish I had a sister to talk me out of my shell sometimes!

Love the little squished up face the pigbear is making in the first shot…hope she feels better soon!

JoyceMarch 1, 2007 - 6:18 pm

You’re STYLING, DeeDee…I love the “NEW” Dew!

Hope Sarah is o.k.

Love you all….

You look great and love the smoochy lip face on pigbear in the first pic. So cute.

MeganMarch 1, 2007 - 6:47 pm

So pretty! I admire your courage! Nothing like a sister to inspire such boldness. 🙂 It looks great.

michelleMarch 1, 2007 - 7:10 pm

I like the new do too! I like mine better short but I decided to grow it out when I was pregnant because it would be easier to put it up in a ponytail and go. When it’s short, it has to be fixed EVERY DAY. I love the first two pics, especially the one with her biting your shirt.
On a side note, Dani made her first sign about a week ago. We were eating at a restaurant and we looked over at her and she was looking at the ceiling making the sign for fan. We were beginning to think there was no light at the end of the tunnel but finally we see it!
