Back to the beach now for a little more Isle of Palms documentation.
I didn’t pick my camera up a ton this trip and I’m kind of fine with it. I spent a lot of time vacationing and a very, very small amount of time picture taking. After four years in the same house with the same people I didn’t want my story to get repetitive. So I grabbed a day’s worth of obligatory beach pics and then spent the rest of the time chillaxing.
Except for this day.
The day that gives The Treasure Hunt of ’11 a run for its money…
Ninja Course Day.
On the evening before the children (and daddies) got sucked into an episode of American Ninja Warrior and the boys were sold. The big boys and the little boys. So the next day when the daddies disappeared no one was surprised to find them in the front yard plotting a course.
Mr. Rich was voted the nimblest daddy and therefore the one to show the kids the ropes.
Quite literally.
There was a stump running section, some batting practice, a bit of balance work, a soccer goal, the rope (hose) swing, a stair climb, and then the piece de resistance,
The face-plant slip and slide.
After Mr. Rich’s stellar example the kiddos were primed and ready.
And very, very pumped up.
Particularly the littlest Cobb kid. Intensity is his middle name.
(Actually, it’s McCray. But we may need to have it changed.)
Nailed it.
Sarah originally opted to be the videographer in lieu of participating as a full-fledged ninjette. But after seeing Caroline tear the place up she decided to take a stab at a little ninja-ing of her own.
And she proved herself to be a very capable and graceful ninja.
Something tells me this is the beginning of yet another Cobb-Clark-Shertzer tradition.
Way to go daddies.
You rock.
