the beach house.

If you just felt that big gust of wind in your face don’t worry, it was just me blowing the layers of dust off the ol’ blog.

Wow. Where have I been?!

I’m so glad you asked. Because among other places (California most recently), I’ve been to to the beach. Isle of Palms, South Carolina to be exact. Where the Cobbs meet up with our two favorite Air Force families each Summer for a reunion. The Cobbs-Clarks-Shertzers were in full effect this year since all of the children (down to our youngest – four year old Ben) are old enough to have fond memories of years past together. So they hit the ground running as soon as we arrived. I love that even living thousands of miles away our kiddos are still growing up together. This yearly reunion makes having best friends who are spread out over Alabama, Boston and LA not quite so crummy.

There’s not much happening in this post other than a few random shots from our time around the house. I promise better posts to come though.

On our third night at the beach we tucked the kids into bed and settled into the couches for adult game night. Before we started though everyone had to deposit their phones face-down on the coffee table and there was a severe consequence for any person who chose to “just check something real quick”. Rum and other spirits may have been involved.

Which was a good thing because without the “rum and other spirits” I don’t think the boys’ egos would have survived the supreme Pictionary butt kicking the girls handed to them.

Yeah. You don’t mess with these girls.

(Also, I give Samantha about 37 seconds after I hit the “publish” button to call me about how terrible the picture I’ve posted of her is. Not because it actually is a terrible picture of her but because this is always her automatic response to any picture I post of her. Automatic tongue lashing. Starting the timer…now.)

More from the beach soon!

I love the photo of all your phones face down. Unplugging is all the rage. 🙂

I would like to express my appreciation to you for bailing me out of this particular matter. After surfing throughout the internet and finding principles which were not powerful, I figured my life was done. Living devoid of the answers to the issues you’ve sorted out through your good review is a crucial case, as well as the ones which could have badly affected my career if I hadn’t noticed your web page. Your training and kindness in handling all areas was helpful. I’m not sure what I would’ve done if I hadn’t come across such a subject like this. I can at this time relish my future. Thanks for your time so much for your impressive and result oriented help. I will not be reluctant to endorse the website to anybody who requires guidelines about this topic.
