don’t miss this!

Because I don’t want you to waste any time I’m going to cut to the chase quickly: registration for Karen Russell’s Photographer’s Workshop opens this morning!

Now I’ll gush. It’s no secret that I have a total girl crush on Karen. She’s kind, honest, helpful, and an unbelievable documentarian for her beautiful family. Her students rave about her teaching methods and if you’ve ever wanted to learn more about how your camera works you should totally take this class and become one of the ravers! Be fast though…registration fills quickly!

Don’t be disheartened if you aren’t able (or just can’t swing) a full seat, Karen also offers auditing seats for her workshop which give you all the access to the material but a bit more limited access to Karen. Heck, that might be just right for some of you who prefer to “lurk” anyway!;)

And as an added bonus, I hear there’s a special guest who will be in Karen’s forum during the last week of class to answer question about the acclaimed Clean Color tutorial. And rumor has it she offers a discount to Karen’s students. Haven’t a clue who that might be…

I’m not a former student of Karen’s but I am a friend of hers and she truly IS amazing!! You will not learn more from ANY other photography class out there I can assure you! I AM however, a student (and huge fan) of Erin and will say that what you will learn from her is amazing as well! SIGN UP! You truly will not regret it! ( I pretty much think they are both awesome chicks) :)

I haven’t had the pleasure of taking Karen’s class – YET. And, can I just say – she is seriously AWESOME.

I took Karen’s class last year and it is FANTASTIC! It has taught me a vast amount about my camera & made me really think through my photography & why I take photos. The on-line forum is brilliant & the other students are supportive & helpful – I still keep in contact with some of them now. I was an auditing student as funds wouldn’t allow me to be a regular student but I still got heaps from it. My advice if your’re thinking about signing up is – do it now before all the spots go – you won’t regret it!

I’ve taken Karens class twice as an auditing student, and I learned so MUCH! She is very prompt at answering all of your questions, and is VERY active on her forums. I love the way she explains things..she makes it so easy to understand. Karen is an AMAZING photographer and person! Also your are right Erin she an unbelievable documentarian for her family! I always look forward to her blog posts.

you both are amazing. i loved taking karens workshop. through her workshop i finally figured out the whole aperature thing. i couldnt wrap my head around the fact shooting wide open meant i was shooting at like 1.8. if you can take her workshop, do it. you will not be disappointed at all.

I took Karen’s class as an auditing student earlier this year, and am currently in her class as a regular student. Fantastic class! I had no idea how to use anything other than a point and shoot camera before the class. Karen advised me on what camera to buy for my budget, and then I learned how to use it out of auto mode in the lessons! Great, great class! I learned so much and continue to learn even more the second time around. If you can purchase a seat in her class – worth every penny!!
