ten on tuesday.

1. The countdown is ON! Four days until my little family loads up for some extended time out west with family. California here we come!

2. Last Friday night as I was working on my ClickinMoms breakout session (see #10!) my sister sent me a HeyTell asking me what I thought about seeing Ani DiFranco Monday night in Santa Cruz. For the love of all that’s unshaven and deodorant free…YES! I’m so excited. My sister quickly followed up with a message that we “definitely have to make strategic wardrobe plans.” Seems someone is afraid of what this ravioli-making mama of two will bust out for the concert. It doesn’t take a genius to read between those lines. Guess the ol’ sweater set is sitting this one out.

3. Wanna know the best thing that came out of my feature post on KevinandAmanda.com last week? One of my old college dorm mates is a loyal reader of Amanda’s site and she saw me there and sent me an email. Hello old friend! I love that. And the best thing for you guys is that the Clean Color discount code is good through TODAY (use kevinandamanda for $20 off!).

4. Speaking of K and A, Amanda’s celebrating the 10 year anniversary of her site this week…be sure to enter to win all kinds of goodies!

5. In finally registered for the Nashville Half Marathon yesterday. I had high hopes of Brent running it with me this time but it seems he’s injured his knee. Boo. =( Guess I’m running solo again!

6. I went to the dentist this morning and she took note of my snaggle tooth. One of my bottom teeth is misaligned and has been for years – even after braces it popped right back. My sister and mom have it too so I claim genetics. Children regularly ask me if I’m losing a tooth because it juts out just so, and I find that rather endearing. Anyway, the dentist said she could shave it a bit and put a veneer on for a small (ha!) fee. When I told Sarah that she struck down the idea immediately saying, “I think you look prettier with your tooth Mom. And you would look less DeeDee without it.”

7. Just when you’re not expecting it, WHAM!, they hit you with their sweetness. I’m convinced it’s evolutionary – it keeps us from eating our young.

8. I’m convinced that as long as Ephraim helps me cook dinner, he will eat it. I remember Sarah being the same way at his age. It seems the three and four year old set are extremely suspicious of what’s in their food which is why they want everything separated and as broken down as possible. Anyway, if Ephraim stands there and helps me make it he’ll gobble it up like nobody’s business. Last night he wolfed down a huge plate of swedish meatballs, noodles and green beans. And two glasses ofย  orange/pineapple/kale juice. Go figure.

9.ย  I once read an article about how children are suspect of vegetables because their instincts are to protect themselves from being poisoned – and back in caveman days green things often meant just that. Or something. I tried googling “kids won’t eat green because it’s poison” but that didn’t land me the article. Hoping it won’t land me in the slammer. I swear I’m not trying to poison my kids. That other time was a total accident.

10. My ClickinMoms Breakout Session, “Perfect Clients: Finding Them, Keeping Them, and Helping Them Help You, is LIVE and ready to be downloaded. Like RIGHT NOW! (I’m so excited.) I’ve long said that I have the perfect clients and this session will fill you in on where and how I found them. You don’t have to be a ClickinMoms member to get in on the action either. But really, it’s such a great place just go on and join. ๐Ÿ˜‰ If you’re thinking of starting a business, new to business, or need to add a little pep to your existing business, I think you’ll love it. Here are a few things I’ve read about it already:

“I’ve only read the first couple of pages of this, but I’m already thinking this breakout session will be well worth my money! So glad I signed up for this!!!”

“I have read the whole thing top to bottom and I cannot wait to go over it again and again and make tweaks to my business here and there. Not only was is super informative, but so interesting to read, Erin – you didn’t even loose me once during the whole thing and I am easily distracted so that is saying something!!
Love, love, loved it!”

“It is amazing! I’ve been in business for almost three years and do pretty well but Erin’s presentation totally inspired me and I think it’s going to help me take it to the next level.”

Music to my ears! Won’t you join us? In fact, drop your name in the comments section and I’ll draw a winner for a FREE SEAT tomorrow evening! Good luck!

I just clicked over to the K&A link and smiled the hugest smile when I saw myself over there with little Ben! I adore that picture and can’t get over how little he was, with his wispy straggly baby curls. Thanks friend! Wish your California travels were bringing your further south! ๐Ÿ™‚

Cristin SpoerleMarch 21, 2012 - 5:30 am

Hi Erin! I recently discovered you, and I want to THANK YOU for being such an inspiration! I finally got the guts to upgrade from my Rebel Xsi to the 5d Mark ii just yesterday. Thanks so much for all of your wonderful tips, and generously sharing what and how you do things.

Best of luck in Nashville, TN. Music City is near and dear to my family, since my husband was stationed at Ft. Campbell for close to 5 years. We just made a 1,000 mile move from TN to TX…the 6th move in 8 years!

Smiles and Blessings,

Cristin

Kristin BryanMarch 21, 2012 - 7:36 am

What I’m about to say, I am in no way saying for symapthy points; just to let you know just how much this hits my life right now and how greatly appreciated I would be if I won. I sat at my computer getting ready for yet another “free” session because I just can not get clients in and my dam broke. I have a hard time crying but after seeing yet another “photographer” giving away nearly everything and in reality paying their clients to do their session getting tons of work while I can’t even get one session on the books, I broke down and cried my eyes out….three different times. My friends go to them, my “fans” go to them and are so excited about all of these horrid pictures because they got 200 for $50 on disk and a bunch of chain store prints. Ignorance must be bliss because “they can’t see the difference between art and snap shots” (I keep hearing that). I am trying to learn how to market but it takes money to market and I don’t have money to market and those that supposedly love my work go to the cheep photographers and I’m once again banging my head on my desk trying to figure out how to stop spinning my wheels. I opened my e-mail to see your workshop and because of the lack of income, cried once more because your workshop is just one more educational piece that I feel I could benefit from but once more, Money gets in the way. So, winning this seat would be a breath of fresh air as I keep fighting to stay afloat and not give up. I’m going on three years trying to get my ship sailing. There’s my “sad-sob-story” : )

Keri JarvisMarch 21, 2012 - 9:28 am

Oh that looks perfect for me! Maybe I can convince the husband.

KelliMarch 21, 2012 - 10:29 am

I just printed the pdf. I made a mistake and didn’t click on “print double sided” and I used the good paper, the 28lb. stuff, so my business costs just went up, but you are so worth it!

Diane W.March 21, 2012 - 10:32 am

Step 2: Check the digits: Most authentic totes have either a control card or control number on the inside, as well as a certificate of authenticity. The number on the tag or control card should match the number printed on the lining. If you can, register your bag.
