the student surpasses the master.

Brent is so good about coming home from his day at work and immediately playing with the kids. I swear I don’t know where he gets his energy. He’s a much, much better player than I am.

One evening last week he and Sarah had a pick up game of soccer going on in the front yard. Apparently he had been sneaking shots by her the whole time. Until…this happened.

Hey Daddy…look over there…

Blame his slow reflexes on his age or the beer in his hand or (more likely) just his good daddy genes (directly inherited from his own good daddy) that demand he let his little girl win every now and again.

Whatever it was, she was loving it.

In my family, the front yard father/daughter sport is frisbee! My 6 year old is better than I am.
