ten on tuesday.

1. Boston was lovely, thanks for asking. Pictures will be forthcoming.

2. Brent just made me sit down and have a business meeting complete with numbers and hard decisions. I love him and hate him for it all at the same time.

3. Have I told y’all I’m shooting the cover for the next issue of Spark magazine? And just today I got confirmation from one of my favorite Huntsville families that they’ll be my subjects. Not royally or anything, just for the cover shoot. 😉 Fun stuff.

4. Last year I went to Imaging USA and shared a room with my sweet friend Marla (along with Amy and Kelly). As mamas with children are prone to do we eventually got on the subject of whether or not any of us would be adding to our families. Marla and I were an emphatic no. And now guess whose sweet baby I get to photograph bright and early tomorrow morning? Congratulations Marla!

5. Since I’ve lost my Imaging USA roomie to a newborn I’m in the market for a new one (roomie, not newborn). New Orleans ’12 here I come! Who’s going? Lyndsay? Amy? Kelly? Bueller?

6. I’ve also got another LA/Orange County trip in the works that will double as a girls’ weekend with Amy and Samantha and a (photography) shooting spree. Look for me there over President’s Day weekend. I’ll release details about sessions soon!

7. Today I took pictures for Sarah’s birthday invitation. I would die at the cuteness but I’m still steaming from when she off handedly told me after school that she was going to punch me in the mouth. True story. I have a witness. Where do they get this stuff??? I swear I’ve never heard such language escape from her mouth but she said it to me today like she was asking for a piece of candy.

8. I just told Brent that Sarah said she was going to punch me in the mouth. He asked if I punched her in the mouth. I didn’t. But I’m thinking of punching him in the mouth for making me sit through #2.

9. Kidding.

10. Sort of. Happy Tuesday night friends!

Can’t wait to dance with you again at Imaging!
And would totally volunteer to be your roomie, but Jackie, Katie and I are roomies again.

KellyOctober 11, 2011 - 8:53 pm

I’m so bummed this bun in my oven will keep me away from imaging this year, but can I have dibs on roomies for next year?

DebbieOctober 11, 2011 - 9:33 pm

Did I really read #6?!!! I just informed my husband that we are not passing up Erin Cobb again. My walls are ready and waiting. 🙂

It’s gotta be the age + school. My daughter is turning 6 on Saturday and some of the things that have escaped her mouth lately are cringe-worthy.

A friend of ours has a four year old who, in all seriousness, told his Dad he was going to “punch him in the eye…’til he bleeds”. It was so much from left field that the Dad busted out laughing (then disciplined, of course–ha!) and now it’s a running joke between all the adults in the room. Hilarious! Hopefully you can laugh about Sarah soon!

TinaOctober 12, 2011 - 4:18 pm

Wish I could making Imaging this year, but I’ll be busy with a newborn too! Maybe next year 🙂

MarlaOctober 12, 2011 - 5:50 pm

Still can’t believe after all my big talk I ended up having a baby!! I’ll miss rooming with you at Imaging this year, you’re the best roomie. 🙂 And Kelly?!! Did I read that right, you’re pregnant?! Congrats!!

I’m planning on going. I’m not sure yet if I’ll stay in a hotel or across the lake at my parents old home in Slidell. I can’t decide.

Yay you are coming to Cali again. Hope to get to hang out this time if you have a girls night meet up. I am not missing it this time! My kids better not get sick this time around.

My kids say the mean things like that little Sarah of yours. Not sure where they get it and even if it’s not said in your home they hear it elsewhere. Tristan said shit the other day, as we were walking in the mall and just as I was about to let him have it, my husband said a teenager walking by us had said it. So we explained to Tristan why it was not ok to say that. Some of the stuff is funny but we try really hard not to laugh about it till they go to bed. Other times though, I have to walk outside because I can’t contain my laughter and then have the little talk about why it’s not ok to say. My friends little boy, 5 years old told her the other night that he was going to sock her in her neck, she said initially she was shocked then asked him why he would say that to her and he said, “it’s a game the other kids play and he wanted to play it. So she asked him if they really socked each other and he said no. So who knows what that game is, but he is in Kinder.
