ten on tuesday.

1. I don’t think I’ve fully wrapped my brain around the fact that this house will be kid free for four hours each weekday.Β  Watching children grow up is certainly bittersweet but I’ll admit that in this moment it feels all sweet. πŸ˜‰

2. I had a lovely opportunity to have a heart to heart conversation with one of my favorite clients this morning. I really love my job but what I love about it even more is the wonderful people it has brought into my life.

3. If you’re a fan of Adele’s “Rolling in the Deep”, you’ll want to see this youTube video. If not, don’t click play. Otherwise you’ll be belting out “we coulda had it alllllll…” for the rest of the day. Your choice.

4. Another fave internet find this week was this heartfelt article regarding blogs – both the writing and reading of them. If you’ve ever read a blog and clicked away feeling like you didn’t quite measure up, then this article is for you. It certainly spoke to me.

5. This week over on the business blog our super amazing rockstar Mom About Town has hooked up with a new Huntsville boutique to give away a $50 gift certificate to one of you. As of right now the competition is not stiff so if you’re local, throw your name in the hat! I guarantee you can get out the door with something fabulous for $50!

6. Speaking of things new to Huntsville, did you know we have a popcorn store now? What’s Popp’n is down around the intersection of Memorial Parkway and Whitesburg Drive andΒ  is owned by a friend of mine. Sarah and I had a ball in there last week trying all kinds of yummy popcorn flavors (Bacon and Cheese…yum!) and loading up on to go bags. It’s the perfect place for teacher gifts, party favors or just a fun surpise snack with your kiddo. Definitely check it out if you haven’t already. And tell Lisa I said hi. =)

7.Β  At the Miracle Bash last weekend I managed to snag auction items to cover both of the kiddos’ birthday parties this year. Sarah will have a cooking party at Tommy’s Pizza and Ephraim will fulfill his dream of having a “Pump-A-Dump” party. Also known to the over three crowd as Pump It Up. Score!

8. Marbled Chocolate Banana Bread is in the oven right now. In case you were wondering, today would be the day to stop by for a friendly hello if you happen to live in the neighborhood.

9. I just want to tell my MIL today that I love her. She’s pretty awesome, as has been well documented, and I felt like saying it outloud online again today.

10. Watching Jackie and Ames last night on the Bachelor Pad made all 37 millions hours of my life that I’ve wasted watching the Bachelor franchise seem slightly more worth it. I daresay there might have been tears from our contingent of girls (and boy!) watching last night. All three times we watched it. I’m on the edge of my seat for the ihategreenbeans recap. (And now I’m feeling like perhaps I should rethink these four kid free hours each weekday…)

I felt so dirty when i clicked on the Bachelor Pad link and up popped your darling MIL. Felt like some higher power was trying to tell me that the Provebs 31 woman hiding inside of me might consider Bachelor Pad ‘bread of idleness’!

Hilarious Karly! (I fixed it, btw…so go ahead and get your Bach Pad fix now.)

Oh I remember those first days of school! Hold on tight – it goes so fast! Thankfully, you and your family will have lots of great photos to remember them by. What a great Ten on Tuesday today!

Missed you at the Miracle Bash! I was stuck hostessing at the jewelry table. Thanks for posting about What’s Popp’n. I drive by that place every day on my way to work and was wondering if it was good – now I’ll have to check it out πŸ™‚

If I’d known you had marbled chocolate banana bread in the oven and were issuing drop by hello invites, you’d have found me on your doorstep today. Hee hee! πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ Chocolate is always calling to this pregnant momma!

haven’t watched BP…too much going on in my life…but I’m so glad you put that link up. I always liked Ames and Jackie…and seriously, that was so heartwarming!

AHHHH. So glad that I wasn’t the only one affected by the Bachelor Pad last night! So trashy and so fun- but the Jackie/Ames part seemed so “real”. I LOVE my guilty pleasure. πŸ™‚

oh, this week was a great one for me to have a reminder that one day I will be a mother to school aged children. I just have one baby for now and he is all darling in his 15-month old explore-the-world self….but it is weird putting the rest of my life on the side burner for now. I’m trying to learn to embrace this season for all of its loveliness and trying not to wish it by. But I do have to admit that I have a bit of jealousy for your 20 hours a week with them in school….but you earned it mama…great job!!!

Just wanted to say that I enjoy your blog. Love the music video you shared. It also brought back memories to hear the street name Whitesburg Dr. I went to Whitesburg Elementary in 1st & 2nd grades. Used to live on Four Mile Post Road. I loved Alabama!

Thank you for sharing that link regarding blogs! I love blogging and reading blogs, too … though I’m pretty sure my blog doesn’t leave anyone feeling inadequate. Tired, maybe, by the non-stop-activity I share of my boys, but not inadequate. πŸ™‚ Hah!
