e’s first day.

Today was the day that Mr. Ephraim finally got to sit on the porch by himself and snap his first day of school picture without big sister. He starts three year old preschool this year which means he and I get a little time together before his day starts after packing Sarah up for school. This morning he was chomping at the bit. We have exactly an hour from the time we see Sarah off to the time we head out for his class. In that hour he managed to say the following things about school:

Mommy! Me and Sarah match…we’re both going to school today!

I’m not afraid of school. I love my new teacher and I love my new classroom!

I’m gonna wear my new shirt from Mr. Billy and I’m gonna show it to everyone.

Are you still getting ready? I want to go.

When you leave me in my classroom I want to give you a hug and a kiss.

When can we leave?

When can we leave?

When can we leave?

(play on repeat)

So, yeah, my big boy is finally back to school. And the two of us, we couldn’t be happier.

(Check him out, this day last year.)

It seems like yesterday Ephraim was just a bitty baby… These munchkins of yours just get more and more beautiful. Love watching their personalities grow too!

What a sweetheart! My little boy will be taking his first pre-pre-school class this year. It’s hard to believe that he is that big already! The second (and last) child feels like such a baby!
