1. I bought a dozen eggs on sale today. The Cadbury kind. I’m thinking eggs for breakfast tomorrow morning.
2. On Sunday we celebrated Easter first at our church, then at home. During the service Sarah colored this pictorial version of the resurrection story complete with (moving from left to right, then down) Jesus on a donkey, Mary Magdalene crying, Jesus in his white robe, and then the stone in front of the tomb. I’m thinking there’s got to be a sermon somewhere in the quadrants of this cross. 3. When we got home from church I asked B-Ro to tell the Jesus story for my camera. His preschool teacher (shoutout to Miss Debbie!) and Sunday school teacher (thank you Miss Leslie!) have done a pretty bang up job teaching him all the pieces and parts. I love it. (sorry it’s sideways)
4. To even out that healthy dose of religion you just got, go ahead and check out “Winning – A Song by Charlie Sheen” by the Gregory Brothers. You’re certain to lose any religion you may have just found. You’ve been warned.
5. By the way, as I was attempting to link that video, the song started blaring and I was on the phone with a new client. Um, epic winning?
6. This Saturday is the Country Music Half Marathon in Nashville. I’m attempting to break my previous 2:16 time. I’m stating that publicly so you all can ridicule and shame me if I don’t. You know, for motivation and all.
7. If you’re a local mama (or daddy!) you won’t want to miss out on this Mom About Town giveaway over on our business blog. Music Together with Amie Furber has been one of the most enriching things I’ve ever done with my kids. I get seriously teary eyed when I think that this semester is probably the last time I’ll get to take a class with either of them since they’ll both be in school everyday next year. Cue the waterworks.
8. T-19 days until we head to Dayton for two weeks. SO excited to catch up with all my friends there, and meet some new clients as well!
9. Speaking of Dayton friends, my friend Janelle writes a pretty awesome blog about all the adventures she and her husband have with their two boys – Lucas Danger and Axel Adventure. They are a family who is super serious about rock-climbing, traveling, and spending quality time together. I just love them. Anyway, her post last month about her son Lucas’s “passion” still has me giggling out loud at random moments when I remember it. If “out of the mouths of babes” kind of stories are your thing, definitely check it out. Hilarious.
10. Enjoy this last week of April, friends! And just where is this year going anyway???
