ten on tuesday.

1. Currently listening to the 4-track album by Brian Scherman. It was a gift from a friend and I’m loving it’s upbeat, jazzy sound. If you’re looking for some new tunes today, check it out on iTunes. Careful, the beats are infectious.

2. This week (Montana) Amy introduced me to the online store, Ruche. I kind of wish she hadn’t. I really don’t need another shopping vice. I’m particularly taken with the dresses. So much variety and personality. Hold me back! No, seriously. Hold me back. I’m begging you.

3. Some of you have been asking lately about which lenses I use for my personal photos and, specifically, our trip to Disney. For that day I used my 50mm/1.2 because it was the lightest and smallest of all my lenses. I really do rotate fairly well between my three fave lenses: the 50mm/1.2L, 85mm/1.2L, and the 135mm/2.0L. It just depends on if I’m inside or out and how much room I have to shoot.

4. I was tickled to come home from NOLA and realize that some of you had shared in the comments section of this post about how you came to read The Pigbear. That question always interests me because I still can’t believe anyone actually reads this thing. It’s fun to hear why you read and how you found me!

5. After our bike tour of New Orleans last weekend our guide forwarded us a document outlining some of his favorite dining/drinking spots in the city. If you’re interested, here you go! Our tour was through Confederacy of Cruisers. Definitely look them up if you ever find yourself in the area!

6. The response to Clean Color continues to be embarassingly overwhelming. I can’t even tell you how pleased I am by the response. So many of you have written reviews and asked to share about it on your own blogs. Thank you! Last week a smart Clean Color fan suggested I create a blog button for anyone who might like to share about it in on their own site. I’ve added a button code over to the right. Go ahead and grab one if you’d like!

7. I’m meeting up with a mentee (mentoree?) tonight for dinner, and to map out our plan for tomorrow. Super excited to take her to my favorite Huntsville pizza place!

8. If you’re local and you missed our Mom About Town series yesterday, be sure to check it out on the business blog today! Heather will be live on that blog every Monday morning with a new Huntsville scoop. Be sure to check it out!

9. My Lasik got pushed back a week. Boo. I seriously cannot get out of these glasses fast enough. I’ve never wished for a hook nose more than I do right now. I need something to keep these librarians on my face. My ski slope nose isn’t cutting it.

10. I just looked over and realized that during the writing of this blog post I devoured two entire red peppers. I couldn’t help myself. Grow Alabama delivered the first red peppers of the year and they were amazing. Must go forage for more.

I visited Huntsville back in November, for my daughter’s soccer tournament, and while there we visited Sam & Greg’s. The pizza was good, but for the girls the gelato was the hit of the night.

How did I miss that you’re having Lasik??? It is the BEST thing I have ever done for myself. I was in my glasses for 6 weeks before my surgery so I understand your agony… but trust me… SO worth it!!

You are absolutely going to love, love, love having had Lasik surgery. It will be so worth the wait. It’s been six years for me and worth every penney.

Gee, thanks so much for linking that new clothing site. My husband thanks you too. I’d like to repay that with an etsy item:

Yeah! I am so happy you found a CSA out there! I seem to remember you making a comment on my blog a couple of years ago and saying that there wasn’t a farmer’s market in your area…hooray for locally grown stuff!

Oh my goodness gracious Jessica…I’m in LOVE with that shop! About to have a huge jewelry spree! Thank you! (sort of.)

Hi Erin– I read your blog regularly and thought you might like a blog I was recently told about. It’s called Faithful Provisions and it’s full of deals, coupons, etc.
