ten on tuesday.

1. After the Bachelorette ended, my TV watching girls and I decided we’d continue our Monday night institution by watching Bachelor Pad. Blech. It’s terrible. No one’s willing to give it up though because that would mean giving up girls’ night. It is fun to watch it in HD on our new pretty TV though because you can see every nook and cranny of the heavily made-up faces. Does that make me a mean and shallow person? (Any of you who feel qualified to answer that, please refrain.)

2. The only good news about Bachelor Pad is that it gives Lincee at ihategreenbeans.com something to write about.

3. On to more important news: the workflow video. I’m working on it and it’s coming soon! I hesitate to put a date on the project because I don’t want to disappoint anyone BUT I think it’ll be readyย sometime in September. If you’ve singed up for the newsletter to be notified please don’t stress if it the signup takes you right back to the blog when you’re finished. I designed it that way so you wouldn’tย get lost in cyberspace. Apparently my attempt to not confuse you has confused you. I’m sorry! Just know thatย I am getting your signups. =)

4. Yesterday I finally added a new Mama (with a camera) Monday post on my business blog. Be sure to check it out.

5. Brent has been in Montana since last Friday on a boys fishing trip with Rich and Steve. He’s coming home tonight and I can’t wait! We’ve really missed him but the kids and I have kept ourselves from being too lonely by sleeping together in my bed for the last four nights. Fun!

6. Has anyone had any luck making homemade sorbet out of melon? If so, do you have a recipe you love? I bought a honey dew melon yesterday and they kids don’t love it. Truthfully, neither do I. So either my mom who loves them needs to come visit (hint! hint!) or I need to figure out something to do with all those cut up pieces in my fridge! Especially since Grow Alabama is sending us another one on Thursday.

7. Did I ever tell you about my recent meet-up with Amanda from KevinandAmanda.com? I don’t think I did! I’ll have to share pictures soon. If you haven’t been to her site before you NEED to check it out. She’s the brains behind some of the coolest handwriting fonts you’ll ever find. She’s currently blogging about all her fabulous adventures in New York last week for the BlogHer 2010 conference. Talk about swank! She and her girl Jenny from Picky Palate did it up right!

8. I also don’t think I’ve shared any shots from our morning with my pal Marla. Marla is only the most amazing senior photographer in Huntsville. I’ll share some of those pics soon too!

9. I think I’m training for a half marathon. I haven’t found the resolve to actually commit yet though. If there are any super useful sites orย  resources that a first time distance runner needs to know about I’m all ears. =)

10. If you’re a DIY’er looking from an insane level of inspiration, check out this blog. Absolutely amazing.

Hi Erin!

I enjoy and love reading your blog…

I wanted to know if you are still using the same red double jogging stroller. What brand is it and do you like it?

Thanks!

You have to read Marathoning for Mortals. It has training plans, and it’s also just a really inspirational read. I think Fleet Feet might have a half marathon training group too.

I think cool runnings is a useful website. It’s the one that created the infamous Couch to 5k program. Pretty sure they have distance runs, as well.

It’s so funny how it seems that blogs have the same circle of followers…I’ve been reading Ashley’s blog Under the Sycamore for about a year now, she does incredible projects and her giveaways are amazing too!! Usually etsy giveaways!!!
Thanks for the heads up on the fonts!! That’s fantastic!!!

OF COURSE you’re training for a half marathon!! You can do it and you will do awesome! Seriously, I can talk for days about running and what to wear and what to eat and how to train, but it all really boils down to listening to your body (your heart, mind, legs and everything in between!). You will do awesome! I’m so proud of you!

And, it was lovely to visit with your dear husband (and Stevie) for lunch today. They’re already planning their next trip, but know that it will be 5 years before we let them get away again! ๐Ÿ˜‰

I just completed the Couch to 5K in the spring and plan on doing the Couch to 10K in the fall. I think it has been mentioned, but just google Couch to “whatever” and there are usually training plans. The Couch to 5K and 10K have podcasts that already have the timing figured out in the music. SO HELPFUL! ๐Ÿ™‚

When I trained for a 15K once in my B.C. years, I used halhigdon.com. I found it to be pretty useful. He has training programs for all distances, as well as novice to advanced at each distance. Good luck to you!

We have a Bachelor group, too, and are getting together for Bachelor Pad. It is pretty terrible, but we love getting together on Mondays! It makes Monday a little more tolerable. ๐Ÿ™‚
