1. Thank you guys for your encouragement in yesterday’s post. And thanks for showing Brent some love too! He was actually behind the camera and we never got a picture of all of us in our rush out the door. He was wearing a very manly shade of pink though. Rest assured. I love a man in pink.
2. Thank you also for the comments about my hair. My mullet and I have come a long way, right? Never again. Never again.
3. If you’ve been around for a few months you probably know about my little friend Ally who is in the midst of her battle with Leukeumia. I was nothing short of ELATED last night when I read about the Ally’s Army party they’ll be having next month to celebrate the end of her first year of treatment. I literally woke up with a smile on my face about it. Why? Because we’ll be there! The dates correspond with our trip to Ohio and I am SO EXCITED to be there with her family and the rest of her Army. Maybe I’ll see some of you!
4. I’ve been winning Brent over to the dark side – the Twitter side. I’ll admit that I was more than reluctant at first to jump on board but now that I’ve been Twittering for three months I totally see it’s merits. When I showed him that he could follow NPR, ESPN, and the moderator of the Presbyterian Church (USA)’s General Assembly, Bruce Reyes-Chow, I think I finally won him over.
5. Remember over a year ago when I said I’d do a series here called “Mama (With a Camera) Mondays”? Well, I’m finally making good on that promise. Only thing is I’m doing it over here. And it’s really geared toward amateur mamas (and daddies!). First installment is hot off the presses – Enjoy!
6. Does anyone know what I need to change in my wordpress settings to make my links appear on separate pages rather than taking you off of my main page? I know that’s annoying and I’d like to fix it.
7. Right before starting this post Sarah walked up to me and we had this exchange:
Sarah: You’re the best mommy that I love in the whole wide world.
Me: Wow, really? What other mommies do you love?
Sarah: Cooper’s Mommy.
How’s that for honesty? And as an added bonus, I’m pretty sure Cooper’s mommy reads this blog. Hi Cooper’s mommy! Sarah loves you!
8. Google Analytics kind of cracks me up. Here are some of the search terms that have led people to this blog in the last few months:
“lady katherine granola bar”,
how much is a birthday party at the little gym,
meet a teenage boy.
I’ve linked the ones that I can track back to specific posts. But “lady katherine granola bar” and “meet a teenage boy”? I have no idea.
9. B-Ro’s favorite phrase these days is “never, never, never.” Oh, and also, “my tummy saying, ‘top eating, top eating!'” He’s a hoot.
10. I’m officially, hopelessly hooked on The Creative Mama. Also passed on to me by my blog-enabling client Kelly A.
