ten on tuesday.

1. Let’s kick it off right. I typed up my* famous** chocolate chip cookie recipe for a friend this morning so I thought I would share it. Find it here.

* by “my” I actually mean “Amy’s”. She taught me to make them although I keep that rather hush-hush around these parts.

** by “famous” I mean among my neighbors. Six fans define celebrity, right?

2. Ephraim is finally learning his colors. Unfortunately somewhere along the way he decided orange was called “War Eagle”. It’s a mistake we Tiger fans can live with.

3. It snowed here today. Again. Apparently Alabama hasn’t gotten the memo that it’s not the new Colorado.

4. My friend Margaret Day is placing an order for the BEST leather children’s sandals around. I love them. Sarah lived in hers last summer and I’m pretty sure five more children can still wear them – they’re that well-made. If you want her to add a pair or two to her order for you email her at southernserendipity at gmail dot com. Check out the selection here.

5. Travel plans for Dayton in May are set! We’ll be there from May 16-May30 and I have a couple more spots for photo sessions. Email me if you want more info!

6. Sarah has been very into her Discovery Toys Wrap and Learn game that my mom picked up at a thrift store a few months back. It’s an amazing self-correcting game for a four, five or six year old. Not sure if Discovery Toys is still making this particular game but they should be!

7. If you live in Huntsville you may be interested to know that I’ll be speaking to the MOPS of Huntsville (First Baptist Church) next Monday, March 8th about how to take better photographs of your kids. Should be fun! Details here.

8. A certain child of mine learned an important lesson today that when your mother is explaining to you that after snack she will help you clean up the catastrophic mess in your room, and instead of listening you shove your hand in her face and shout, “I’m ignoring you!” then you will end up cleaning said room all by your lonesome. For half an hour. While screaming. It’s a tough but necessary life lesson.

9. Oh Jake. Jake, Jake, Jake.

10. Taxes, ugh. Not as a political commentary by any means but purely as comic relief during tax time (ugh), now might be a fun time to revisit this video.

6. pretty cool toy. i’ll have to look into it.

7. why is AL so far away from CA? or why hasn’t anyone invented the transporter system star trek-style yet?

8. OH NO, SHE DIDN’T! (waving my finger in your face) sounds like my little gal. i’m sorry. 🙁

9. if you read my tweet last night, you know what i think about that. dirty i say.

10. UGH is right! who knew pi’bear was from da hood? 😛

Just so you know when ever we (my husband and I) talk about taxes that quote by your daughter is always repeated! i had shown my husband when you posted it!! Funny girl, it still make me laugh to think about it!

I could KILL YOU for getting me addicted to the Bachelor – how stupid is that guy???? And I was completely prepared to quit cold turkey, but I like Ali…..

Sam, I’m thinking if The B’ette starts in May the finale may coincide nicely with our little summer trip??? Regardless, we’ll definitely have at least one girls’ night watching it together…and that alone is worth watching the entire season. =)

Good for you Mama for sticking to your guns. Did you laugh at her, um, bravery when she wasn’t looking? I’ve done that many, many times with each of my kids.

I think you have more than 6 cookie fans, especially if you add all the kids and people we’ve shared your cookies with. Your photos AND cookies are sweeping the nation!

I’ve got a new one to share. . . chocolate chocolate chip cookies, for when you really need something rich and sinful. Just came out of our oven! 🙂

Oh Jake. Jake, Jake, Jake. <—- {sigh} TOTALLY. What a nutcase.

And you're a nicer mama than me. Only 30 minutes cleaning by herself? Ohhh boy would my girls be jealous. ;o)

While stalking other blogs, there is a photographer in Kansas City, that has an etsy shop, and she makes the cutest little girl outfits. I thought you might like them.
