party day.

Today the kids had their Valentine’s Day parties at school.

Amazingly I remembered to set them up for a photoshoot last month in time to edit the pictures, create the card and get them ordered.

I even had time to mail a few to out of town relatives.

And had my act together enough to sit down with Sarah and help her address envelopes for her class.

This Valentine’s thing was going way too smoothly. I’m usually the one flying by the seat of my pants to get things done. Or better yet, the one who misses the boat completely and forgets when the party actually is.

Which is why I was completely not surprised when I walked into Sarah’s classroom this morning to join her partying classmates only to realize that I had forgotten to get her dressed in the red and white heart dress we bought in Boston specifically for her Valentine’s day party.

Ah yes, there it was. The familiar feeling of having it almost all together.

My universe felt aligned once more.

But the Valentines turned out SO nicely! Lawson liked it ALOT because of the pictures.

ps- I can beat you for sure and not having it together… I’m one of the party moms for tomorrow and I brought the party supplies and my 8 week old all ready to go YESTERDAY

Congrats on being prepared and such cute cards. Our party is tomorrow. We have candy, but still no valentines… I may drive-thru Chick-Fil-A for generic ones – they come with an ice cream coupon.
