ten on tuesday.

1. Oh how your comments on yesterday’s post were refreshing and reassuring! I was seriously teetering on the brink of insanity. What is it about this time of year that make kids so cr-azy? Thank you for humoring me. And for empathizing!

2. This evening we went to Books-A-Million to let Sarah pick out a book with a birthday gift card (thanks Aunt Wanda!). The winner? A new Fancy Nancy sticker book.

3. Today is my niece Lily’s birthday. Happy Birthday Lily! See you this weekend for your fabulous par-tay!!!

4. Seeing Lily also means that I’ll be seeing my huggable, squeezable little Nate-Dog. I’m counting the minutes, for reals.

5. I’m thinking of heading to Boston in January for several days with the kiddos. Sessions anyone? If there’s interest I’ll put together some details. Also planning California in March/April and Ohio in May/June.

6. Pioneer Woman in N’ville one week from today…woohoo! Say hi if you’ll be there too!

7. I’ve had a ten year long on-again/off-again (usually off-again relationship) with 8 Minute Abs. It started as a DVD when we were first married, then became a laptop workout a couple of years ago and tonight I just realized I can get it using the youtube app on my iphone! No more excuses…I’m on again! (that is, until I’m off again)

8. With the bulk of my holiday rush work behind me I’ll be working on my 2008 blog book. Yes, I still use blurb. Since my blog is self-hosted now though I can’t slurp the blog so I’m having to do a lot of copy and paste. Luckily I’m enjoying looking back at all the old entries so it’s much more fun than work. If all goes well I’ll get to the 2008 photo-a-day book too.

9. I know all evidence points to the contrary but I haven’t given up on my 2009 photo-a-day. I have images. I just need to post them. Soon.

10. Was this the lamest ToT ever? Possibly. I’ll try to bring it next week.

Where in California?? Southern, I HOPE!! If so, I am in for sure!! I was just driving the other day and thinking how the heck am I going to get my kids to Alabama. I just want to see what you would come up with and know it will be wonderful! Be in touch with your plans – dates, location, etc.

you know, you can still “slurp” your self hosted blog….. sort of. all you have to do is export your self hosted blog and then import it to a wordpress.com blog (that you’ll need to create) and then just “slurp” the wordpress.com blog to make your book. it’s pretty easy to do but does take a bit of time. also, it’s a great way to have a back-up of your self hosted blog, you know…. just-in-case. :)

I’m adding another “where in California?” I can be in Central or Northern and would love to have you photograph our family. :)

Lorena MoraDecember 1, 2009 - 8:35 pm

Me too, put me in the books for a CA session! Oh I’m Southern CA too, I am emailing you just in case to hold a spot for my little ones.

Speaking of children who drive us bonkers, maybe we should all try the “Elf on a Shelf.” He keeps an eye on the kids for Santa so he can report back to the big buy if the kids have been naughty or nice. I’ve heard it makes this time of year a little more peaceful. :)

Where in Ohio??? We live in WV, just outside of the Ohio border, and it might be worth the drive if you were coming somewhere close! :)

LaraDecember 2, 2009 - 7:21 am

I didn’t get any further than “Boston” and “sessions.” I had to immediately e-mail my sister and tell her all about you and your photography. She lives near Boston, so I’m putting her on your trail!

Definitely not lame if you really are going to be in Ohio during May/June. Since I missed you last time, I’d love to make it work to see you this time! I should be there around Memorial Day, though I’m not sure… let’s try to catch up!

We’ll be seeing you soon…Yeah! I totally understand about having extra work to do this time of year–I’ve never used so much super glue in my life as I have this week :)

P.S. Nate Dog can’t wait to see you either. He giggles at everything and it will totally melt your heart.

Caitlin and Matthew would love to have a session when you come to Boston!

TanyaDecember 8, 2009 - 8:52 pm

Erin! I came back today and noticed that my friend Diana would also like a session with you if you come to Boston. She and I could arrange something together if that is helpful. Looking forward to the chance to meet you and have you shoot my little ones. My daughter reminds me so much of your Sarah.
