from there to here.

What a difference two years makes.

Two years ago I sat in this same seat, full to bursting, anxious, wistful. Saying goodbye to my only child. Waiting to meet my son.

Tonight I sit here again. Still full to bursting.

It’s just a different kind of full.

It’s in my heart.

Tomorrow my baby will wake up and we will celebrate him.

Oh, I remember that letter! It brought tears to my eyes back then and it brought them again tonight. I had four years of “just us” time with my now 5-year-old girl and my little one is 18 months today. Our world has forever changed, but for the better. But, still miss those “just us” days. It’s tough to find moments alone with the older one now that she’s a busy kindergartner, ballet dancer and gymnast. 🙁 But, it’s all good. 🙂

And I remember that post-the one where you were cherishing the last days of having one child…the first time a post brought me to flooding tears. Thanks for blogging.

I have no doubt that your heart was full to bursting on that night two years ago, as well. The belly bursting was just a little more prominent! Beautiful pics, my girl.
