like the corner of my mind.

I spent some time this evening going  back through the blog archives to find an older shot to compare with this one.

I didn’t find it. But what I did find were months and months and months of memories that I’ve already forgotten. I rarely read back through the archives and I have to admit that it took my breath away just a little bit. It was a mixture of tortured agony to see my babies so…baby…and relief and joy that those memories are documented. I think it’s the kick in the pants I need to get my next blog book going. I have 2006 and 2007 finished as well as a coffee table book for 2007’s photo a day but that leaves me two whole books to accomplish with two more waiting in the wings. I better get on it!

Before I head back over to memory lane let’s ask to announce the winners of the pumpkin beanies:

#28, Jen wrote:

“on-line shopping is so fun!”

And #42, Sarah wrote:

“Try Ferm Living for really cool/fresh/hip wallpaper. They’re a Danish co. but they have some distributors in the US. (I found them in Better Homes & Gardens ‘Do it Yourself’ Fall 2009 magazine).”

Email me girls and I’ll send the beanies your way!

I do that every now and then. I take great comfort in the fact that I only just recently backed up my blog. I “thought” I had done it once before, but it turns out I didn’t do the database (who knew?!). When I upgraded I was forced to back up and I love knowing those memories are in more than one place….I’d be devastated if it disappeared. Did blurb quit doing wordpress? I really need to look into that….

What company do you use for your blog books? How do you go about doing that?

I’d love to see a post about some tips and tricks for making a blurb book. I started a while ago and got discouraged as it seems every page needed so much tweaking. Since you’ve been through it a few times maybe you’ve learned from your experience? I love your photos—you are such an inspiration!

Yeah, you better get on that 😉 Love, love, love B-Ro’s expression. And that girl and her smelling of Rae-Rae’s funk. . . I guess it can’t be too funky anymore since she doesn’t suck on the ears, but still. I wonder if she’ll still have Rae when she’s 30!

That picture is awesome! All your pictures are so good. I’d also like to know who you use for your book. I’ve tried Blurb and just gave up because it was taking so long and so much editing on my part.
