ten on tuesday.

1. Overheard this week during one of Sarah’s many phone conversations with her “friends”:  Well, I’m gonna go call my in-laws. Gotta go. Gotta call my in-laws…are you my in-laws?

2. I have  two d0zen infant-sized cloth diaper prefolds and 6 infant-sized covers (fit up to 16 lbs) that I’d love to gift to someone. We used them with Ephraim only for about three months before he moved to the next size. They’re in GREAT shape and I’d love to send them your way if you’re thinking about venturing into the cloth diapering world. I’ll even foot the bill for shipping…just email me! =) They’re from diaperapsyou can see them here.

3. My 135mm/2.0 L series lens is still up for grabs. Get in touch if you want more details! I’ll leave it here for one more week before listing it on an open buy/sell forum.

4. FYI: If you happen to drop your iphone into a sink full of water, have no fear. Shake vigorously, put it into a bowl full of rice and let it dry out over very low heat for a couple of days. Your iphone will now be almost as good as new. Don’t ask me how I know.

5. Head to the business blog if you have any interest in watching the Erin Cobb Photography promotional video. I worked with my awesome friend Eric from Stellar Media to put it together and I’m pretty pleased with the result. Besides of course the nails against chalkboard effect that seeing/hearing my own self blabbering has.

6. My sister pulled off a pretty amazing soiree for my niece Charlotte’s birthday. You have to see the pictures…and the dress! (yes, handmade by Meghan)

7. My latest Etsy love. I must have it.  “You get what you give, so give good.” Love that.

8. Samantha has given me a bedtime tonight deadline for emailing her my grocery list for next week in the Poconos. Ask me if I’ve started. 😉 I’ll get it done, Sam, promise!

9. Good heavens, did anyone else see “Dating in the Dark” last night? I will unabashedly admit that I was hooked. I’ll probably never watch it again but I could.not.tear.my.eyes.away. On second thought, I think I’ll make the girls watch it next week in the Poconos!

10. Speaking of mind-sucking TV, I’m off to cancel our cable and home phone. (here’s hoping that hypothetically submerged iphone keeps on ringing…)

Hi Hillary! Someone actually just emailed about them. If that doesn’t work out I’ll let you know!

J.J. – I love the house stuff she has too. I just bought one for a friend that has the little smoke coming out the window saying, “happy lives here”. LOVE THAT.

Okay, got stuck at Etsy for WAY too long… thanks a lot Erin. I found a lot of must-haves there as well. Cute cute stuff. And the Sleeping Beauty dress is GORGEOUS. What a beautiful little princess.

Long time reader, first time comment(er). Inspired to hear that you are cancelling cable. We lived a few years w/o while my husband was in school. Didn’t miss it for a minute. Although, we do have it now because the local channels won’t come in w/o it and we’re addicted to Lost after watching seasons 1-3 on DVD. We did receive a ton of “grief” from folks when we told them we didn’t have cable. “What do you do with yourselves?” How about read a book, enjoy the fresh air outside, among other things?? Interested to hear if you have the same experiences when you tell people about it.

PS – your photography is A.M.A.Z.I.N.G and that, coupled with the stories, is what keeps me coming back to the site!

We have used our cell phones as our home phones for about 6 years now. It’s nice only having one phone bill. Let me know what you think of cancelling the cable though. We’ve talked about it and just haven’t done it.

We don’t have cable or home phone either. We love our six channels! However, we really needed a home phone line. Since we have a family cell phone plan (and move a ton thanks to the AF), we added a third line for $10/month and got the free cell phone to keep at home. We have a phone system that allows you to link your cell phone to the system via Bluetooth, so can talk on real phones with handset extensions just like normal people. It’s crazy cheaper and means we can leave a phone home for sitters, etc. We’ve been doing this for a year and it’s worked great!

How do you get internet without a home phone line? We have DSL and it takes the biggest chunk of our phone bill.

My family would revolt if I ever cancelled the cable. Seriously, they would have nothing of it – my husband would have it hooked back up so fast my head would spin. I could cancel a whole lot of things around here and he wouldn’t notice or care, but cable is NOT one of them. He even bought a generator and had a special electrical panel installed that you plug the generator into so he could still watch TV when the power goes out!! We have 6 TV’s hooked up to cable and 2 more TV’s in storage. It’s a sickness, really….

Lucas and I just watched your video. What a nice clip and it really shows who and what you are about. Lucas about flipped out when he saw Sarah’s Mommy on the computer. He’s still jumping up and down talking about Mrs. Erin and Sarah Cobb. I think he’s in love with both of you. 🙂 Great ToT, thanks for sharing everything. -J

Oh, I can almost say “ditto” to Jennifer’s entire comment! We don’t have 6 TVs hooked up to cable (“just” 4), but if were up to my husband we would have more! He’s wanting to put one in our 3 year old’s room, and I’m putting my foot down there! She has plenty of TVs in the house to watch, and I don’t like encouraging it! Much more productive things can be done 🙂 But yeah…it’s a sickness my hubby has too…he LOVES new TVs
