When we moved into our house two years ago we were told that there was a couple across the street who had a daughter Sarah’s age and another one on the way, as did we (both turned out to be boys). Score. Then one year later another set of neighbors joined us next door who have a son the same age as our boys and a niece the same age as the girls. Huge score.
Back in Colorado the Cobbs, Clarks and Shertzers affectionately referred to our little neighborhood as “the compound”. While I’m sure I would meet a Clark/Shertzer firing squad if I claimed to inhabit a new compound, I will say that these neighbors of ours have become quite a fixture in our day to day lives. Very compound-esque, if you will. Especially considering each yard is littered with toys that have found their way “home” to the wrong house.
Recently our sweet little Betsy Boo celebrated her 3rd birthday at the pool, flanked by her two best girlies.
(Cameron (aka “Cammer”/”Camera”), Sarah, and Betsy)
That’s just about the cutest, brightest, smiliest gang of three year olds I’ve ever seen.
Note from reader, Allison, about fixing the viewing of this blog in IE8: (I’ll attach this to blog posts for a few days to help those who are still having trouble)
I had the same problem with your website (and oddly only yours so far?) when I first downloaded IE8, but then clicked on the box with a ripped piece of paper just to the right of the address box – it’s compatability view. It fixed the problem – and it stays fixed when I return to your site, hope that helps others.
