big sister on the beach.

As long as I live, this next series of photos will make me laugh. It’s just so Pi’bears.

Two weekends ago we started our first morning at the beach properly – munching on donuts from Thomas’s atop a fitted sheet curling into the sand. Life was good.

48

It was hot and humid, but breezy.  A comfortable combo if you’re a southern child at heart. I think our youngest is.

38

As the sprinkles on his donut began to wane he finally noticed that great big expanse of water.

29

And struck out to explore.

57

Without consulting his overprotective, overly-cautious, clearly-not-a-Cobb (ha!) sister.

123

He ignored her. (a skill that may or may not serve him well later in life)

She tried reasoning with him. No dice.

74

Tried to block his way.

84

Tried to drag him back with brut force.

103

Until finally, seeing that no one else as as concerned as they clearly needed to be, she resorted to pleading with us, “Can you please come get Ephraim?!”.

66

And we did. Giggling all the way.

She is just like my oldest . . . does the same for her younger brother. Wonder what they think of their parents when they are more concerned for them then we are! Too cute!

by the way, I read your blog each time you post, but am trying to comment more since your last post about people commenting in your dream. 🙂
