noah and jess get hitched.

Last month on our epic adventure out west I got my camera out of the bag a grand total of one time. The rest was documented on Instagram with my iphone. But I couldn’t let my cousin Noah’s wedding pass without grabbing some shots of their celebration.

Noah and Jess were married on a working farm in an absolutely beautiful barn. My sister made Jess’ dress which was as stunning as she was…

Noah, you’re pretty handsome too. 😉

My Aunt Lori is Noah’s mom and if you’ve been around this blog for long you probably realize what a huge person she is in my life. Which means that of course her boys are too. Noah and Aaron are more like little brothers to Meghan and me than cousins. So Meghan, Aaron and I worked together to write a little toast for Noah and Jess at the reception that documented “The Top Ten Reasons Why Noah Will Be a Great Husband.” Aaron stole the show when he told the story of Noah forgetting to put his car in park, letting it roll to a crashing halt down their steep driveway and then not even realizing it (or caring) until the morning.

The reception provided all kinds of fun photo ops…like this one of Meghan’s cutie husband…

Doesn’t she look like she’s falling in love with him all over again?

I’m sure it had nothing to do with the drink in her hand. 😉

Charlotte was a pretty fab flower girl…

Okay, well maybe it wasn’t just the beer.

Sheesh, I guess it was just in the air!

Just not on this side of the room…

KIDDING! That’s just what marriage looks like after 60+ years.

(Man I love those grandparents of mine.)

Oh look, my honey was there too!

He may have a been a bit preoccupied though. Any guesses what he might have been doing with an ear bud in his head on a Saturday afternoon in September? As my Granny would, “I’ll give you three guesses – first two don’t count”.

(If you said “listening to the Auburn game” then congratulations, you’ve been paying attention around here.)

Speaking of honeys…

these two are lifers.

Their young love and devotion to one another is pretty awesome.

And they have equally awesome role models…

Just when we thought the emotion in the room couldn’t ratchet up any further, this happened…

(warning: start reaching for the kleenex…)

(I told you.)

(I’m sorry!)

Thank God my baby son is never growing up, moving out or getting married.

Sheesh. Let’s lighten the mood here.

The dollar dance. Perfect. That’s more like it.

After Noah and Jess secured three songs worth of funds for their honeymoon my Uncle Glenn shed his jacket (and tiny Macy’s bag?) to lead the band in a crazy night of jams.

And I can’t swear that anyone else was dancing (I think they were) but lemmetellyou we were feeling it.

And thank God there’s no photo proof of my awesome groove-less girl moves.

Because that would a terrible way to end a beautiful post.

We are one blessed/lucky/fun/drunk family and those pictures prove it! Thank you for making that day extra special and for capturing my special dance with my sweet boy.

I have seen them many times, knew they were coming and still cried when those pictures scrolled through. It was a fun night!

Such a fun post! That’s a great way to start off a perfect anniversary trip! Man what a sweet mother/ son dance. My boy isn’t here yet, but I’m with you. He’s not growing up, moving out, or ever getting married either!
