product highlight: storyboards

I only take on four sessions per month. Sometimes they’re spaced out, sometimes they’re not. This month I happen to have a two week break (well, shooting break, but not a break from work). That gives me a great opportunity to showcase some of my favorite products though.

When I was first putting together my product list I was undecided as to whether or not to offer storyboards. I didn’t have one of my own and wasn’t sure it was something I wanted to put the time/effort into. I’ve heard so many colleagues rave about them though that I had to see for myself what the fuss was all about. I ordered a sample. And I was in love.

A storyboard is a 10×20 print that is mounted on 3/4" standout. It’s extremely light weight and comes ready to hang or stand. Typically storyboards are comprised of 2 or 3 images from your session but I’ve seen them done beautifully with more photographs as well as just one single image.

I love mine so much it sits on my mantel…

My favorite thing about the storyboards is that most of the time I get to design them together with my clients at the ordering consultation. We’re able to pull together the grouping of images they like the best and come up with something that suits their needs and style perfectly. And that, my friends, is just another reason why you can’t beat custom photography!

Erin S Lovin’ the storyboards!! Yay for pictures that don’t need framing!!

Terah Hey Erin!

These are gorgeous and I’m reminded of a question I’ve been meaning to ask you…

Where do you do your printing? And where will you NOT print? (Just kinda wanted your thoughts on the places you’ve tried as I’ve not been completely satisfied with anything I’ve tried.)

Also, I would love to print some of my own storyboards and was wondering what options you choose when printing these as far as mounting, etc.

I’m sure you’ve probably already addressed this and I just have missed it. If so, just point me in the right direction and I’ll find my way…

Feel free to e-mail me if you’d rather…

Terah Oh ya!

What shade did you use on that amazing wall behind your mantel? I’ve been contemplating trying this in my bedroom…

Sorry to be such a “board hog”. I’m nerd herd material for sure.

erin Terah, feel free to email me! =)
