it’s raining, it’s pouring | huntsville children’s photographer

Huntsville certainly has it’s fair share of summer thunderstorms and if you’re a natural light photographer like I am it’s something you just have to work around. When I arrived for this session last week I was confident that the drizzle we were getting was going to clear up imminently. Well, my confidence is shot! We literally had to dash in and out of the house every time the thunder clapped and the rain started pouring again. Couple that with the extreme humidity that had my lens fogging in a major way everytime I went indoors or out and it was an adventure to say the least!

The good news is that my partners in crime were more than happy to be along for the ride… I grabbed that shot when I saw a break in the clouds. Then when it started up again we ran to the backporch and I grabbed this one…

Then it was big brother’s turn to brave the weather with me. (I think he was actually braver than I was!)

Pretty quickly the storm made it clear that it wasn’t clearing anytime soon. So we headed to the front porch to see if the kiddos would snuggle together while we watched the rain pour down around us. Turns out snuggling during a thunderstorm is the perfect way to occupy two preschoolers!

Do you think the post office would mind if I stole their whole “neither snow nor rain nor dark of night…” tagline?

Kat I think these look great! Can’t wait to see the rest!
Thanks for braving the weather with us.

Lorena Mora I wouldn’t know that it was raining if you hadn’t told us the story. The pictures outside look so bright and sunny. The are beautiful as are the kids. Isn’t it funny how we worry more about the weather than the kids? Mine love the rain although here in California we are lucky if it rains for a couple of hours then it stops.

Lacey R You pulled it off beautifully! Gorgeous portraits!

Sylvia Love your pictures! Was wondering if you could tell me how you get that tag along your pictures “Erin Cobb Photography”. I’d like to start using something like that but not sure how to add that, can you help? I don’t do a lot of editing to my pictures except for red eye and cropping, does that matter?

Sylvia Howard Love your pictures!! Was wondering if you could tell me how you put that tag line across your pictures? I don’t edit my pictures a lot except for red eye and cropping, does that matter? Thanks!

admin Sylvia, you’ll just need to create a photoshop document on a transparent background and then drag it over your image when you’re preparing it for the web. Hope that helps!
