It’s funny to me when I tell people about my ”career change” at 25. My degree is in Early Childhood Education and I taught kindergarten for four years before becoming a mother. I loved teaching kindergarten and had every intention of being back in the classroom as soon as my kiddos were old enough to come with me. Then photography rocked my world and plans changed. Now, as much as I loved my time in the classroom, I can’t imagine going back. I’ll be honest that I miss it but not as much as I would miss what I do now. That’s the beauty in my career change — I still get to nurture that playful, kid-loving side of me!
Hanging out with kids is the hands-down best part of my job. My Saturday morning session reminded me of that.
I mean, how can you not love this?

Every session is different. The clothes change, the kiddos change, but the fun never changes. We always have fun. Right dude?

Their mom had a couple of requests for this session. Definitely something of them together…

check.
And definitely a shot of their big squealy, laughing grins…

check!
The end of our time together was possibly my favorite. This wooden bridge was an instant hit.

Turns out, it’s a great spot to show off your mad jumping skills!

It’s also a great spot to race your big brother. My littlest friend became obsessed with the idea of “ready! set! go!” which was beyond adorable. Here she is in her ready stance…

And there she goes!

(big brother of course had already whizzed by!)
Thanks for the fun you two. Can’t wait to show your Mommy and Daddy the rest of your adorableness!
Minisession info to be posted here TOMORROW! =)
