When I met this sweet family for our downtown session on an absolutely gorgeous fall afternoon last weekend we were greeted by every other photographer in Huntsville! It made me so happy to look around and see so many families taking advantage of the amazing fall color and sunshine with their photographers. Because the block we chose was so packed we ended up in a spot I’d never gotten to use before…and I was thrilled! We found ourselves right smack in the middle of the most beautiful bed of fire-yellow leaves, which was a perfect choice for my new leaf-loving friend…

I imagine jumping and leaping and snuggling in a huge bed of leaves on a beautiful day is just about heaven for a three year old boy. And his parents too for that matter.

And baby brother? He was just happy to be along for the ride. He’s four months old and watching him experience the breezy outdoors with his wide eyes really took me back to my own children’s baby days. There’s nothing like the experience of watching another human being discover the world around him.

Not yet a sitter but he’s a big fan of standing! Something tells me this is an everyday occurence at his house…

And this.
Oh this.
For me it pretty much sums up what it’s like to the parents of two young children:

Just a little something I like to call “driving blind.”
