Monthly Archives: May 2010 I am absolutely smitten with this little guy I’m about to show you. His sly smile and sparkly eyes had me at hello.  It’s been six days since I met up with these seven lovely families for our minisessions. I know they’re anxious to at least get a taste of what their images look like so let’s get started! I wanted to get as many sessions in as possible to maximize the donation to the Leukemia and Lymphoma...  Last year I met Ally. Exactly one week after that photograph was taken she was diagnosed with Leukemia.  I often refer to my career as a kindergarten teacher as my “previous life”. It feels so separate from what I do now largely because I no longer live in the two states where I taught – Ohio and Colorado. Add in a couple of kids of my own with now being a business owner...  Last year I photographed this family of three just days before little guy’s daddy was heading to Iraq. I loved what we captured but it was a bit bittersweet knowing they would be separated for 6 months. This year there was nothing bittersweet about our time together!
